NORFOLK – The Norfolk Admirals unveiled their new uniform designs for the 2007-08 season at a press conference earlier this afternoon. The Admirals’ new uniforms incorporate blue, red and gold colors with the new Rbk EDGE uniform style. “We feel very proud of the new jerseys that the Admirals will don this October,” said Admirals Vice President Mark Bernard. “In designing this jersey, we felt it was important to incorporate components of former Admirals jerseys with some of the newer ones. In addition, it was important to us as an organization that we form our own identity – just like the Hersheys and Rochesters of the AHL who have a distinct jersey. This was a long process where we went through approximately 15 designs before deciding on the current design, which we are extremely happy with.” The Admirals home jersey is primarily white with red, blue and gold trim. The road jersey is primarily blue with white, red and gold trim. Both jerseys will continue to use the Admirals battleship logo that has been in use since the 2004-05 season.

The jersey will incorporate the traditional tie strings in the front and maintain the secondary Sound Tigers logo on the right sleeve and the historic Islanders logo on the left.
